Using Module 25, students will cover various aspects and applications involving liquid propane including properties, characteristics, safe handling, related legal documents, liquid propane components, pumps, compressors and vaporizers.

A person who is the holder of an LP certificate may install, purge, activate, repair, alter, service and remove liquid propane piping or tubing systems and components.
Course OutlineAt the end of this module technicians will be able to:

Describe the physical properties of propane and chemical reactions in different situations.

Identify the codes, standards, and regulations that apply to liquid propane installations and describe specific requirements.

Describe the purpose, features, types, applications, requirements, testing, maintenance, and repair procedures for ISC valves, pumps, compressors, emergency shut-off valves and bulkheads, vaporizers, meters, remote dispensing devices, and other components used with liquid propane.
ExamThe theory examination will be administered by Hi-Mark upon completion of the course.
Pre-requisiteAn applicant for an LP certificate shall be the holder of a G.1, G.2, GP or IMT certificate. The applicant shall also have documented proof of 80 hours of work experience on liquid propane systems under the direct supervision of an LP certificate holder.
