Gas Technician 2 Pre-Exam

A Gas Technician 2 (G2) license will enable you to install, inspect, alter, purge, activate, repair, service, or remove a natural gas or propane appliance that has an input of 400,000 Btuh or less without supervision in residential and commercial applications.
Examples: Furnaces, Fireplaces, Water Heaters, Pool Heaters, Stoves, Clothes Dryer, etc.

This course contains a quick review of the G2 modules 10 to 24 and the applicable codes, acts and regulations. It contains no practical training and is a theory-only review course. This course prepares students with at least 4,000 hours of experience working with a G3 licence and have already received approval from TSSA to challenge the G2 certification of qualification exam. It is also a good refresher course for students who have previously taken the full course and are struggling to pass the certification of qualification exam.

Course OutlineThis program is a quick theory review of the G2modules 10 to 24 and the applicable codes, acts and regulations. It is intended for individuals who would like to challenge the certification exam or are struggling to pass the certification exam and wish to refresh their knowledge of the G2 modules. There is no practical training included in this course.

It is not a full course and will not help students whose course training has expired or already attempted and failed the certification exam 3 times.
ExamThe theory examination will be given by HiMark at our location upon completion of the course. For challenge exams, the practical examination must be given by a T.S.S.A. Fuels Safety Inspector and arranged through T.S.S.A. by the student.
