Gas Technician 1 Pre-Exam
A Gas Technician 1 (G1) license will enable you to install, inspect, alter, purge, activate, repair, service or remove a natural gas or propane appliance of any BTU input and the equipment and accessories essential to its operation. This includes residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
This course contains a quick review of the G1 modules to 26 to 31 and the applicable codes, acts and regulations. It contains no practical training and is a theory-only review course. This course prepares students with at least 4,000 hours of experience working with a G2 licence and 500 hours working on equipment over 400,000 btuh and have already received approval from TSSA to challenge the G1 certification of qualification exam for their exam. It is also a good refresher course for students who have previously taken the full course and are struggling to pass the certification of qualification exam.
If you are applying for a government funding program or grant, such as the Canada Ontario Job Grant, please call us to submit your application as the course cost is different.
