DescriptionThis program does not require approval under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005.

This is an approved 1-day environmental awareness training program designed for individuals who would like to obtain an Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) card. This includes those who let their original card expire and would like to get a new one.

By law, only a certified technician can remove, handle and dispose refrigerants that contain ozone depleting substances and other hydrocarbons.

The Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Card entitles the holder to purchase and handle CFC/HCFC/HFC refrigerants and hydrocarbons.
Course OutlineThis program will allow students to understand environmentally-correct equipment design, proper handling of refrigerants and how to comply with Federal and Provincial Regulations covering refrigeration and AC systems.

This course is strictly theory and does not incorporate hands-on training.
ExamStudents will write a theory examination at our location upon completion of the course.
